I approach my real estate business with this goal: to give my clients the kind of home buying/selling experience that I would want for myself. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

If you are purchasing a home, there is no cost to you. If you are selling a home, the standard rate in the industry is 6%. I will be happy to discuss this with you further.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will sit down with you and have a conversation about your wants and needs for you new home. That way, I will have a better understanding of exactly what you are looking for.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Besides having my Indiana Real Estate license, I also have a Bachelors and Masters degree with a background in education. I have a specialization, RCS-D, which stands for Real Estate Collaboration Specialist - Divorce. I encourage clients to "Keep the house for the Right Reasons" and don't base it on emotional decision. I also participate in continuing education.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started in real estate as an investor. I have renovated and sold several homes (as an investor), so I have a great vision if a home is not "perfect". I have lots of ideas and tricks to make things beautiful on a budget. I love taking something run down and turning into something beautiful!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you are buying or selling a home, make sure your Realtor is someone you trust. It doesn't matter if they are a relative or a friend of a friend. Your Realtor needs to be someone you want to work with and has your best interest in mind. You are trusting this person with the biggest purchase in your life.
