Introduction
We hired Michael for a comprehensive bathroom remodel, and there are several compelling reasons why we chose him over other contractors. Firstly, we had previously hired Michael for electrical work and observed that he is meticulous, detail-oriented, and prioritizes quality over speed. Secondly, among all the contractors we consulted for estimates, Michael was the only one who demonstrated innovative thinking. Our bathroom is very small, and efficient space utilization was paramount for us. Michael proposed a design that maximized space, whereas others merely suggested a straightforward remove-and-replace approach. Thirdly, the quality of Michael’s work is exceptional. Although the project took longer than anticipated, the end result is undeniably superb. Everyone who uses the bathroom, regardless of age, is impressed, often likening it to a hotel bathroom. Fourthly, Michael is honest and transparent. Every invoice was accompanied by detailed receipts from Maria, including new purchases, returns, and exchanges. Lastly, both Michael and Maria exhibited remarkable patience and both are very friendly. They provided the initial design, accompanied us to the store for material selection, and took the time to answer all our questions in detail, educating us throughout the process. Regarding the project itself, we completely remodeled our bathroom, stripping everything down to the walls, wiring, plumbing, and floor. Michael’s process included a design phase, during which he provided a rough 3D rendering that includes the exact materials we selected. His proposed design involved removing the door, installing a pocket door, and relocating the vanity to create more space. This design allowed us to install a slightly larger bathtub and an additional tall cabinet. The fixtures used in the bathroom are high-end and top quality. For instance, the bathtub features a three-function thermostatic valve with push-button handles, the floor is heated, and the bathroom includes a top-of-the-line pocket door, a wall-mounted Toto toilet with an electric bidet, and unique trim around the floor and ceiling. Michael’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the project. He spent more than a day sanding and painting the ceiling, resulting in a flawless finish. The wiring and plumbing were meticulously organized. He anticipates potential risks and takes preventive measures, such as installing a metal plate behind the bathtub’s thermostatic valve to prevent accidental damage from drilling. Michael also has a keen eye for lighting, incorporating various types of lighting in the bathroom, including dimmable spotlights, vanity lights, and strip lights in niche areas, which our children particularly enjoy during bath time. Michael is a contractor you can trust. We relied on him to make informed and thoughtful decisions without the need for constant oversight. He maintained a clean worksite, organized all materials in the garage, and ensured the project passed city inspection without any issues. We have been using the bathroom for over a month with no problems, including no electrical issues or water leaks. For those who value quality and reliability, Michael is the ideal choice. As he once told us, “Quality is more important than the timeline,” a principle that holds true in many aspects of life. See before and after pictures.
