Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is based on each individual service call. It’s very difficult to give a price just like that. Reach out via our website, email, or give us a phone call and we can discuss further. As for discounts we have a few discounts available. Call for details.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I always like to give the customer a good idea of what to expect and what sort of price they’re looking at when they reach out. Whether it be a spring replacement or motor repair or replacement. No one likes surprises when it comes to home repair, and I understand that.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I had 6 months on the job training and 5 years experience in the field on my own. I was the guy people came to, if they had questions or problems they hadn’t run into.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was picked up by a local garage door company about 5 years back and was trained on the job. It got to a point where I trained everyone after me and always had fellow employees asking me what to do.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Just about anyone, homeowners, property management companies, investors, and contractors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I had a job where the customer had a very tight space to work in. We were working with centimeters of space up and down. Why am I proud of this job ? Because it takes ingenuity and brainwork to get this kind of job done. A lot of people would give up but not us. It took 2-3 hours where it should have only taken 1. Just goes to show it isn’t always about just getting in and out quickly. Quality work is something we expect from all our technicians and it is something our customers can expect, day in and day out.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would advise the customer always get at least 2-3 quotes for every job. Not all prices and products are equal so do your research.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I recommend having as much detail as you can provide to the professional and also you want to be made aware of any service fees a company may have . Inquire about this before having someone come out or you may be in for a nasty surprise. Otherwise the company should tell you everything you need to know prior to getting a technician out to your home.
