Third Gen Garage Doors specializes in garage door repair and replacement. As a family business we have been servicing doors since our grandfather returned home from WW2. Our promise to our customers is to always be upfront about the price and to never cut corners on the quality.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer veterans discounts, along with first responders, nurses and teachers.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After we’ve been in contact with a customer, we come out to assess the job and then we give the price. If it’s a repair we normally do it at that time. If we need a replacement door we usually do within 3 business days, unless it’s a special order.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have formal training and years of experience working with garage doors.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Family has been doing garage doors since our grandfather got home from WW2.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All kinds.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

New door install, took about 4 hours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure to hire a professional to work on your garage doors. The springs are extremely dangerous and can seriously hurt or even kill you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Are they insured and what are the different options for fixing/replacing the door. Many companies will try to push for a new door, even when the old door is repairable.
