What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our pricing is based on the quality of the garage door repair parts and new garage doors. Remember you get what you pay for... and your home is one of your biggest investments! Why would you go cheap when you might want the highest value when you sell your home?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start by confirming a new customer's request or needs and schedule the best date and time to address their issue. When we arrive, we like to engage the customer to build the trust that they have selected a dedicated Garage Door Repair, Service, and Installation company providing the best service and value to them and their home. Next, we conduct a full inspection of the garage door from exterior to interior, the mechanics, and the hardware for any defects. After the inspection, the technician will inform the customer of any issues found outside of what was reported for repair or replacement. Upon approval, the technician will calculate three estimates based on the quality of the replacement parts from GOOD, BETTER, or BEST options. Customers will have a chance to determine what is best for them, but the technician will communicate the value of higher quality parts and their benefits.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Garage door repair and installation training is provided in-house at ProLift to ensure there is safety and accuracy of the requested job.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I want to bring quality to communities. When I am able to help a homeowner improve their homes, the positive impact spreads to the neighborhood and community. Upgrading a garage door from internal parts to a full garage door has short-term and long-term benefits. A repair or replacement allows for the use of the garage door, but upgrading to quality parts will improve the life and effectiveness of using the garage door and reduce the overall noise. A new garage door adds value to the investment of your home by bringing higher curb appeal. Since the garage is usually the first part of the home that is noticed, a high-quality door improves the house's look and neighborhood. In turn, the value of the homes within the community begins to increase. Studies have shown that homeowners get 93% ROI with a new garage door.

All kinds. I have met customers looking to replace or repair on the cheap to customers who want a lavish high-end garage door. Everyone has their goals, but they need to have their perspective on investing in their home by increasing the value with better parts or a better garage door.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A customer wanted a high-end garage door with all the bells and whistles to make it as luxurious as possible. The decision on the look of the door took two months, with one month to order and 1/2 a day to install with the noiseless garage door and smart technology. This was not surprising for a mansion. What I was amazed about was that about the features and technology of the high-end garage door such as motion detection and voice activation. There was no noise when the door opened and closed. It was like a futuristic door with classic carriage door looks.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find a provider who is focused on more than just making money. Like having a good dentist or lawyer, having a provider who is partnering to improve your home and increase its value is one you can depend on. They want what's best for you, even if you use their services once.
