What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

We offer free estimates on new garage doors, and our repairs are performed under a flat fee for labor for our residential customers. Often times the office can provide a very close estimate of repair cost based upon the description of what is wrong with your door or opener.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We provide free estimates on new doors, and would be happy to come out and meet with you to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have. For repairs, we can schedule a service appointment to have one of our technicians come out and address and issues or problems you are having with your garage door.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We are a licensed builder in the State of Michigan, as well as a member of the International Door Association.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We have been in business for almost 20 years! We are a family owned and operated company, and 4th generation in the family doing construction work. We look forward to working with you!

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with all customers, both residential and commercial.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

On average, a new garage door installation takes about 3-4 hours, and a new garage door opener installation takes about 1.5 hours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be sure to ask about the pricing up front. Our company charges a flat fee for repair service, versus a company might offer a low incentive rate to get out to your home, however they will then charge a higher hourly rate to complete a repair. We pride ourselves on being being honest and fair with our customers.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Regarding garage doors, the main decisions you will need to make are whether you want your new door insulated or non-insulated, what color, panel style and whether you would want windows in the door. For garage door openers, there are several options including the strength/hp of the motor, chain vs. belt driven, as well as battery backup features.
