When I added a detached garage to my first house, I needed help installing the garage door. I asked a friend in the trade for an assist and ultimately became his apprentice.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently had a call for a major off-track repair. When we arrived the entire door was on the garage floor. The customer was worried she needed a new door, but that was not the case. We were able to reinstall the door, while only having to replace her cables and some miscellaneous hardware. The customer contacted us on Thursday evening. We were on the job the following morning and had the door working nicely by lunchtime.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
