What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Depends on if the door is fire rated, templating for handle sets and crash bars, or closers will determine the cost of the door. The hourly rate for door install is $100/hour. For Handyman type services or door repair it is $75/hour.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

It depends on the job. It will take around 7-14 days to order a door and if needed have a light kit put in. If it's for handyman type services, it depends on how busy we are. Typically, a week or 2.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

10 years' experience in commercial and residential door installs. Around 30 years' experience in Handyman services.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I worked at Twin City Hardware.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Commerical and Residential customers. Also, general contractors regarding construction and Door installation.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

The most recent project that I did, was installing new trim in a 2,000 sq ft home. The owner was very pleased with the work that I did. It took me around 5 hours to complete the job.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You would want to look for someone who provides high-quality work and is dedicated to completing the work in a timely efficient manner. Also, a provider or pro who is qualified and not overly priced.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What they need done and how they would like it done. Including size and expectations.
