Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Before I begin working with new client, I prefer to personally meet with them. If this is not physically possible we can meet by phone and/or email. Together, we will discuss wants and needs. This conversation will include locations and other specific criteria for Buyers, as well as competitive pricing, features and marketing for Sellers. Within 72 hours of this meeting, I will submit to you a proposal for Sale, or a personalized search for Buyers. If you choose to accept this proposal, we will schedule a convenient time to begin marketing your home.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was licensed as a Real Estate salesperson in New York from 1985 to 1995, and in Florida since 2003. I have several years of on-the-job and diverse training as well as a full time management team and broker to assist with anything else that arises. I always go several credits above the state mandated amount of Continuing Education every two years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always loved helping people find their new homes. It's a very exciting process and it feels great to find that "needle in the haystack" to make it happen!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All. I've worked with newlyweds looking for their first home, parents with growing families, veterans who need contracts written particular ways, CEO's with very particular tastes, and everyday people who just want to live somewhere nice.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Searching for a house is very personal. Sometimes you'll find it on your first day, you'll see something and "this is it!" Others can search for a year and still not find exactly what they want. When it comes to selling, marketing is not the only tool. Sometimes the seller also needs to be flexible to make a sale work. These are conversations that I am not afraid to have with both buyers and sellers.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
When looking for a Realtor, make sure you feel comfortable with that person. Interview until you do. Just knowing the area is not enough, they also need to know the laws, contracts, and contacts. They need to be responsible and responsive. And most of all, they need integrity! I have these qualities but before you hire me I want you to be sure as well. Use your gut instinct. Trust is extremely important. Do not hire anyone you don't feel good with.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Number one if you are searching for a home, remember that we don't read minds. Make a list of criteria that are important to you, and important to not have. It is extremely possible to find your dream home on the first day of searching, but only if I do my homework armed with knowledge that I know is important to you.
