Introduction

After living in Minnesota for a few years, I decided to return to the career I love--real estate. Helping find each person's perfect home for them and making it an enjoyable, not stressful, time is my passion. My personal and professional experience with relocation, home buying/selling, downsizing, staging, and marketing gives my clients an added edge in the current market. My clients find my personalized approach, attention to detail, availability, and diligence helps them to relax and enjoy the home buying and selling process.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
For Real Estate Buyers, the Real Estate Agent commission is typically paid by the Real Estate Sellers. It is not common for Buyers to have to pay commission. For Real Estate Sellers, commission is typically paid by them to the Real Estate Agents.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will set up a meeting, either in person or by phone, to discuss the basics of what a customer would like in a home, such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, house square footage, lot size, price range, etc. The next step is to get them set up with a lender for pre-approval for a home loan. I have a variety of lenders who I work with that are skilled in credit remediation, VA loans, FHA loans, Rural Development loans, and Conventional loans as well as other types of specialty loan programs. We then start looking for homes both in person and online and try to match them with the perfect home for them. I walk with them through every step of the process all the way to closing and provide information at every step.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I started out with the Disney Development Company/Walt Disney Imagineering in Real Estate Sales. I was one of the founding employees who worked in and built the town of Celebration, Florida. While working for Disney, I was trained in all facets of home sales, from marketing, sales, staging, and builder relations to contracts. In Minnesota, I have been completing ongoing training in many areas of Real Estate including digital marketing, media, design, and relocation in addition to many other areas of training.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have always been involved in Real Estate in some way. Growing up my father would build homes in his spare time and flip houses. My brother-in-law is a builder and now my sister is a Real Estate Agent and her husband is a Real Estate Broker. Real Estate has always been a part of my life and I love everything about it. After college, I was lucky enough to be selected to work for the Disney Development Company and Walt Disney Imagineering to be part of creating the town of Celebration, Florida.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with all types and ages of customers, from a young professional just starting out with their first home to seniors who are downsizing. I help with all stages of the process, whether it be helping find the perfect loan to suit my client's needs to helping stage a property to show at its best to sell for the highest price.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I recently helped a dear couple sell their home that were moving to another state. We worked together to have the property cleaned, updated, and staged to receive the best offer possible and, even though it was a higher price point for the community they were in, they received multiple full price offers within 3 days of being on the market and completed the sale in 30 days.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Ask questions, make sure that your realtor is in it to help you not just to earn money. Your realtor should always be looking out for your best interests, be accommodating, and be trustworthy. My focus it to help my customers to find what they want and need; the pay is just a bonus.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think carefully about what you are willing to spend for a home, what your needs are and your wants. What can you not live without and what could you compromise on? In some price points in our current market it might be difficult to get everything you want but not everything you need.
