What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I'm a mortgage broker so I am paid by the lender not my client. My goal is to match you with the best lender for your specific financing scenario.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I contact the client at their preferred time and review their income, credit, and assets to confirm the maximum purchase price they are able to qualify for. I go over the loan options and rates and generate the preapproval letter. Once my client is under contract for a home I lock in the interest rate with my client and review the loan estimates to make sure it works for my client.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started in 2020, I was in Business retention for a major client. A friend of mine transitioned to the mortgage industry and told me that I would be great at it. So I researched what a loan officer does. I studied for weeks and did the education courses and then passed the state exam. I hit the ground running after that.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with clients with scores as low as 500. Clients that need down payment assistance to make their homeownership dream a reality. I have worked more Veterans than anything. I especially love helping our Veterans with this process.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
