What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The fee is $75 per hour. We offer packages such as Decorator for a Day that comes with a flat fee based on the customer's furnishing and décor selections. The price for this package is $600. Additionally, we offer personal shopping and an Accessory package, for small jobs.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Step 1). We begin with a Discovery Call- obtain a general overview of the project and budget. Step 2). Initial Visit- grand tour of the space client would like addressed, obtain photos and measurements. Step 3). Pricing and Contract- using the information from the previous meetings a proposal along with a contract is completed. Step 4). Design is created and presented for approval. Step 5). Delivery and Installation

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am certified by the International Association of Home Staging Professionals. I have also received extensive training in Luxury Design, Short Term Rental Design (3 certifications in this area), and Trend Design.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was introduced to staging by my Realtor. After I became certified I began working with her immediately. I also worked with Investors to furnish/stage homes and condos for sale or short term rentals.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Realtors, Investors, and home owners. I have worked with renters (homes, condos and townhomes) for their current properties as well as those choosing selections and a design theme for a home purchase.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Since relocating to a coastal city, a couple of projects have included downsizing. Downsizing is a separate service that occurs prior to design work for the current space, it has been nice to work with clients in the selection of which art and furnishings will remain and which will be discarded. I have become better acquainted with my clients as we spend more time working as a team. This has also been an advantage in getting to know their design style and vision for their new home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find inspiration pictures to help the designer/decorator easily define the look or style you prefer. Have a realistic budget for the type of furnishings you select, remember we work with all reasonable budgets.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If you desire to have more than one space addressed, create a budget for each room; you may decide to take off a room to have everything you desire for the primary area.
