Team Young Matthew & Jeannie have been in real estate for over 4 years. We are both very proud to be Realtors and part of the evolution and change in the real estate industry. They both graduated from Columbia College and several years later decided to study together to obtain their real estate licenses. By leveraging each other’s strengths, they make a creative, dynamic team. Jeannie’s business management and organizational skills pair beautifully with Matthew’s charismatic personality and marketing abilities. Matthew has lived in Washington his entire life and has enjoyed growing up in a military household in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a double minor in Sociology and Criminology. He comes from a solid sales and customer service background and has been in the real estate industry since 2006. His areas of focus began as a construction project administrator and on-site foreman in residential housing. At the turn of the real estate market in 2008, he became a contractor for real estate owned properties. With this experience, he became very knowledgeable regarding roofing, gutters, siding, windows, and doors. Jeannie has lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2004. She is originally from West Virginia and had the opportunity to travel to several Army duty stations, including Germany, prior to settling down and making Washington her home. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a double major in Business Management and Human Resources Management. She comes from the health care industry, is credentialed in dental assisting, and is licensed to distribute pharmaceuticals. She also has a full-time position as a Logistic Building Manager in Kent WA for a fortune 500 company and is the only female to hold this position in the company.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We first start with a call or zoom to get to know each other. During that call, we find out your needs, a bit more about you and your family. We will ask for some general info as your pre-approval info, full name, and contact information.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Matt has over 25 years in customer service and sales. He has also been an onsite foreman for a remodeling company, sold roof, gutter, siding, doors, and windows. Plus worked side by side with a home inspector for years. Jeannie has a background in human resources and business management. She is the center of the team making sure the flow of the transaction stays moving. Both have Bachelors of Arts or Science degrees.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

We looked into starting a property management company and in the state of Washington, you need to have a real estate license. Matt and Jeannie have both worked for fortune 500 companies and have used that knowledge and experience to translate into real estate.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with all types of clients. Honestly, we are here not to sell you anything, that is not our job. We are here to connect you with homeownership and people to make you successful.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Every transaction will be different, but we are here to make it as seamless as possible. Education is 100% key to your success. We focus upfront on what you need to know and prepare you for what to expect. So when the time comes there will be as few surprises as possible.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Please look at what the agent or Realtor has done in the past. Check their google reviews and what people are saying about them. Really check and see if the agent your choosing will have your best interest in mind.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Overall have an idea of what you want to accomplish. Most of my job is connecting people to people. We look forward to any questions you might have.
